VDP 6.0.2 to 6.1.1 migration: authentication test failed

I am trying to migrate a VDP appliance that, starting from 5.6, was time to time upgraded to 6.0.2

I follow the KB 2127665 VMWare procedure.

But I cannot pass the "Create Storage" phase. The root password and the FQDN of the 6.0.2 appliance are correct and the appliance is started without any job running.

I always obtain an error pop-up windows: "Authentication failed. Make sure VDP credentials are valid."

If I open a console windows on the 6.0.2 appliance I can login correctly with the same password.

What should I check to resolve this issue?
