Creating my first VDP backup replication job. Trying to replicate backups between two independent sites connected over internet, each with a ASA firewall. Both sites VDP 6.1. Both sites use VDP 6.1 to backup to a local VDP appliance on local HDD.
I start to create the replication job, pick the VM, provide credentials of the other VDP; they verify, then continue. After the Finish button, a long greyed out dialog, followed by "Error creating replication job. <test>" (the name of my test job). I don't see any useful diagnostic information in the vCenter log. All firewall ports opened from source to target for TCP and UDP (using NAT). FW seems OK because I get a positive response (I assume) password validated- using an invalid password is reported as such.
Any ideas about how to find some details on what VDP doesn't like?
