I'm using Avamar for backing up all the VMs in the datacenter dynamically, with quiescing enabled in the backup job.
A few machines were completing the backup successfully but with warnings, reporting not being able to quiesce the VM, thus proceeding with a no-quiesce backup.
I've identified that this issue is related with servers that has raw disks mapped, this is a VMWare known issue. Then I've disabled quiescing on these specific VMs. The method I used was the referred in the known case, which was setting disk.EnableUUID to FALSE.
This solution has worked for the majority of the VMs with this problem, but a few still report the same warnings. A few VMs are still trying to quiesce, disregarding the setting.
What can I do to enforce the setting?
