Re: Moving VMs from ONE Vsphere/VCenter Instance to another without network connectivity

You may have missed my previous reply. Backing up the VM and restoring it on the destination will take care of different folders, so will the OVF export/import. However, in case of an OVF export/import, the target VM will receive new UUIDs and MAC addresses. With simply copying the files/folders you will - besides requiring more disk space for the transport, and inflated disks in case of thin-provisioning being used - have to either manually edit the VM's configuration file on the target, and/or re-attach the virtual disks, because the datastore's UUIDs will most likely be different in the other location.
